Nature Sunshine and Flower Remedies

I am really excited that one of the companies I often use now has Flower Remedies! Have you ever heard of Flower Remedies. For starters, there are frequently used in the UK for children who have attention deficient problems. But then again, in the UK, children are not diagnosed as often with that disorder and put on what is really a dangerous drug. Unfortunately, but true. A child has to go through strict testing for that to be determined and then if so, flower remedies are used rather than ritalin, prozak, etc.

Flower Remedies are safe holistic essences, which have absolutely no side effects. They are not even herbs(which I believe herbs so often get a bad rep in the mainstream news) Think about how many people in this country have died of drug prescription drug overdoses, but with herbs, it does not happen as often. I have seen people on all of these remedies and know that they work. But anyways, back to the Flowers, they are not harvested same way as herbs.

When the sun comes up on a bright morning and there is still dew, go to the flower you want to use. Some people recommend saying a prayer, but I do think it is nice to 'ask to use the flower'. I believe that all life can feel things, I really do. I used to watch my mother grow flowers and ironically she would talk about how she would often 'talk to her flowers' and when she gave them attention they bloomed, flourished and looked gorgeous. People around wondered how she did it and spoke of her 'green thumb'. I think it was more than a green thumb though. One time, she was not feeling too well in the early stages of some of her plant life and the poor flowers at that time did not make it, and had a very short life span. She remarked that the reason was that she never got to spend as much time with them while they were being prepped. At the time, I didnt pay any attention to such things as this, but nowadays, I do strongly believe that, so for that reason, I believe you should asks the flower before you cut some of its blooms

The first thing to do is get a bowl of pure sping water, as this is what you will be putting the blooms in. Fill the bowl and as the dew is still on the ground and the early morning sun is coming out, go out and greet the plant.  You should also make sure this will be a full sunny day as if it is overcast, it will not work. Then, when ready, put the bowl with spring water right on the side of the plant with the foliage hanging over the bowl. Look for the prettiest blooms too as that is what you need. Cut the blooms right over the water as the ideal situation is to have the blooms fall right inside the bowl of water. If you have touch some, its not really that big of a deal, as long as for most part, you let the blooms fall into place. Then sit the water right in the sun and you will let it sit in the sun for the next 3-4 hours. During this time period, the blooms are going to become energized with the sun within the spring water. This is how you make your essence. When finished, have some small amber glass bottles available with top droppers as you want to put the essence under your tongue, although you may put it in some water to drink throughout the day. Get some brandy or vodka as this will be your natural preservative for the flower essence. You can also use vegetable glycerin and it will taste better as well(Nature Sunshine uses this as their preservative & you just wanna use their remedies all day lol,) It is actually a good idea when giving to people you dont know as well for those who have issues with alcohol. Fill half the small amber bottle with brandy or glycerine and then top off with your new essence. Very easy

Flower Remedies are for emotional ills. Dr Edward Bach identified 38 remedies altogether for emotional well-being, not physical, although according to Dr Bach, when we have our emotional health and issues balanced out, we will be physically healthier. Dr Bach, was a medical practitioner in England who had first turned to homeopathy, but then later formulated the 38 Flower Remedies and completed case studies on people. I have used Flower Remedies and sincerely believe in their benefits. I would certainly turn to them to help my child rather than a dangerous drug like ritalin. I'm so happy now that Nature Sunshine has them! You know how to create them, grow some flowers and go with it! I will have some later blogs on the varied remedies and what all they are used for. For example, guese what Impatiens is used for? Did ya guese right? For those who are always in a hurry and never very patient. I want to start creating my own remedies, but in the meantime, thanks Nature Sunshine for having them :)
Check them out!
